i`m back!

i think i`ve been awol for over a month! but it has been a very busy month!

when i had my 22 week scan when i was expecting alice they found out that alice had a hole in her heart, the doctors sadid there was a good chance that the hole would close up on it`s own, but when she was born and she had more scans they saw that it was quite big and that it would have to be operated on and they also found another hole!
they advised us to wait until she was about 3 months old to have the op so we just waited, unfortuatly alice started to struggle taking her milk as she got tired very easly and her weight started to pummet, they day grace broke up from school for the easter holidays, alice was admitted to queens hospital in romford, to have a feeding tube put in. Grace went to stay with mum and dad and was spoiled rotten LOL! Alice ended up being in queens for 10 days, while we were there we got a phone call from GT ORmand street hospital to say her operation was going to be on the 14th april and that we were be transfered from queens via ambulance, unfortuanly 10 mins from getting on the ambulance they phoned to say that alices op had been canceled as there was no room in intensive care.
queen discharged alice on the 17th april and Gt ormand street reschedualled alices op for the 21st april. we went up ther on the 20th so alice could have tests and scans etc.... and durring one of those scans they found 2 more holes! so she had 4 in total! the next day she was first on the list and she was in the operation for 6 hours, ted and i had a walk to the london museam to take our minds off what alice was going through, and we ended up bumping into lots of people we know:)
after the operation alice was in intensive care for 48hrs and then she was transfered to labybird ward and as she was there over easter, she got a lovely easter bunny that Harrods had sent all the children in the hospital.
we all came home on easter monday, and alifce is know doing really well, she still has the feeding tube in just until shes back to feeding well but she putting on loads of weight which is fab. we can`t belive how quickly she has bounced back.
all the nurses and doctors at both of the hospital were wonderful and i can`t say how thankful we are for what they did for out alice xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
